eth_newBlockFilter
Creates a filter in the node, to notify when a new block arrives. To check if the state has changed, call eth_getFilterChanges
.
Valid for fifteen minutes
Filter IDs will be valid for up to fifteen minutes, and can polled by any connection using the same <YOUR-API-KEY>
.
Parameters
None.
Returns
filter ID
: A hexadecimal denoting the newly created filter ID.

with an API key from your Infura dashboard.
